Superheroes and Adolescents

Okay, so here's the thing:  I'd like to believe that if I write something, it will mean something.  It doesn't have to bring about some great epiphany that will save the world, but it'd be great if maybe one person reads it and feels a fraction of the things I felt while writing it.  Because, if we're being honest, I go on some emotional high while I write. It's weird and different and sometimes uncomfortable.  In fact, you may read something I post and feel that sad adolescent stir inside of you.  I'm not talking about sad as in depression as in your soul being ripped in two.  No, I'm saying you'll feel like the awkward, preteen middle school-er who everyone feels obligated to take care of.  Or, at the very least, you'll treat me like that delicate youth.

Except, this doesn't always have to be the case.  Sometimes I might write something which is sort of profound or thought-provoking.  Or maybe I'll write something really simple that has some kind of double meaning and only you or an over-zealous English teacher (you know the kind) would catch it.

Whichever disaster happens, I just want to let go.  So take this as a warning because this whole blog thing could be dangerous.
